 ECDL – European Computer Driving License

What is ECDL?

ECDL is a world-wide training and certification program for PC users spanning more then 140 countries. The program was developed under auspices of the European Commission and is officially recognized and national PC literacy standard in a number of countries. At present over 9 million people worldwide possess ECDL certificate.

ECDL complete solution for employers consists of:

·         diagnostic testing of the staff in order to find out the bottomline level of computer proficiency;

·         tailormade classroom training or distant learning course based on the results of diagnostic test. This helps to save time and money as groups for training are formed by the skills level and people get training only in the areas they really need one;

·         certification test consisting of 7 modules for basic software (1. Basic ICT skills, 2. Operational system, 3. Word Processing, 4. Spreadsheets, 5. Database, 6. Presentation, 7. Internet and e-mail).

The result is PC proficient workforce with increased productivity and competitiveness ensuring that operational objectives are achieved more efficiently.
